What are the classifications of stamping dies for automotive parts?

Materials used in the manufacture of hardware stamping dies include steel, cemented carbide, steel-bonded cemented carbide, zinc-based alloys, low-melting-point alloys, aluminum bronze, polymer materials, and others. At present, steel remains the predominant material for producing stamping dies, with the following being the most commonly used materials for die working parts: carbon tool steel, low-alloy tool steel, high-carbon high-chromium or medium-chromium tool steel, medium-carbon alloy steel, high-speed steel, matrix steel, as well as cemented carbide and steel-bonded cemented carbide.
